Job description
Job Description

Wood has a requirement for NUI OIMO’s to join Shell OneGas Kroonborg W2W team on a 2/2 rotation for 6‑12 months. The Normally Unattended Installations (NUI) Offshore Installation Manager role is part of the Walk to Work team within OneGas. It is a cross‑border organisation working in the UK and NL. The NUI OIM reports to the Marine Operations Manager (MOM) and does not have any formal direct reports. The NUI OIM is a role model in HSE, Operational Integrity and Asset Integrity with knowledge of Maintenance excellence. The NUI OIM will demonstrate team leadership attributes and is expected to set clear expectations for safety on the installations in line with legislation and business processes. A key priority is to close identified gaps in the Permit to Work and Safe Isolations and re‑instatement process. The NUI OIM will drive a culture of Operational Excellence and by doing so will safely contribute to the reduction of the OneGas backlog. The Walk to Work crew rotates on a 14 on/14 off schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Providing a safe place of work on the NUIs. Responsible for achieving Goal Zero during mission execution. Liaising with the MOM to resolve any safety concerns related to the interface with the Walk to Work vessel.
  • Overall approval for final approach of the installation and subsequent Motion‑Compensated Gangway (MCG) connection to the installation for which they are appointed NUI OIM and confirmation that all other pre‑visit checklist requirements have been met.
  • Accountable on behalf of the NUI Team Lead (and UK law) for the operational and technical integrity of the NUI, and application of all applicable procedures on the installation, from the moment final approach of the installation and subsequent MCG connection.
  • Accountable for order and discipline on the manned NUI and compliance with the Installation safety case.
  • Comply with work instructions, operation of the Safe Systems of Work and providing operational supervision to all work activities on the NUI.
  • Fulfil the Permit‑Vision role of Permit Verifier/Authoriser as outlined in the Permit to Work Manual. Also responsible for all isolations on the NUI as Isolation Verifier/Authoriser.
  • Responsible for performing all operational activities on the installation, including controlling the isolation process. The NUI OIM carries out all activities related to preparing the plant for maintenance (DFPV, pressure‑build‑ups, application of a safe isolation, etc). The NUI OIM is on occasion the only operationally competent person on the installation, therefore is expected to be comfortable executing all stages of the isolation process independently.
  • Responsible for the protection of people, environment, asset, and reputation during all work activities on the NUI. Initial reporting of any incident within operating systems.
  • Responsible for the preparation, safe execution and close out of all operational activities and aspects on the NUI in accordance with the management system requirements.
  • Confirm SCE deviations are understood, and mitigations as specified on the UK Daily Activity Status Sheet (DASS) / NL Platform Statuslijst are in place and will be complied with for the scheduled visit.
  • Accountable for compliance with the manning and de‑manning procedures and checklists, including associated TEMPSC and heli deck checklists applicable to the NUI. This requires liaising with MCG Operator, MOM and Vessel Master to receive their approval to begin transfers. Final authority of departure from NUI rests with the NUI OIM.
  • Responsible for the execution of audits as specified in the Line of Defence (LOD)1 plans (i.e. PtW audits, environmental audits).
  • Responsible for the updating and reviewing Operational Work Instructions (WI's) and TIER1 documents applicable for the NUI Installation.
Emergency Response Tasks
  • The role of the NUI OIM during emergency response is defined within procedures with NUI OIM required to act in accordance with these documents.
  • Accountable for performing/reporting of scheduled drills and exercises.
Qualifications
  • Helideck (certification or experience).
  • ERT (certification or experience).
  • Hydrocarbon NVQ or equivalent (essential).
