Job summary

Ashtead Technology in the UK is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead onshore mechanical solutions projects, focused on decommissioning subsea infrastructure. You will manage contracts from award to close-out, delivering scope, schedule, budget and quality to meet customer expectations.

Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage customer relationships, drive performance, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Technical, contractual or commercial degree, or relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrable project management experience in a similar industry and experience in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Commercially aware with strong contractual and financial management skills.
• Solid understanding of offshore operations, subsea tooling, and mechanical equipment solutions.
• Proficient in project planning, scheduling, risk management, and project reporting.
• Experience using ERP and project management systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional Project Management qualification (APM, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore decommissioning projects from contract award through to completion, delivering against scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
• Develop project plans, schedules and resource plans, proactively managing risks, performance and change.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery to a high standard.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers, building relationships and providing clear communication.
• Lead project meetings, provide progress updates and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and commercial performance; support change management and variation recovery.
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, subcontractors and logistics for offshore mobilisation.
• Provide leadership to project teams and promote safety and high-quality delivery; share lessons learned.
