Job summary

Conyers seeks an Associate in Banking and Finance to join its offshore team in the Cayman Islands. The role involves advising global banks, funds and corporate borrowers on complex finance transactions andproviding strategic counsel in a leading offshore practice.

You will work with colleagues across Bermuda, BVI and London, and contribute to multi‑jurisdictional financing matters while developing your career offshore.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ PQE in banking and finance within a recognised practice.
• Admission or eligibility for Cayman Islands Bar.
• Strong drafting and technical skills; ability to manage priorities.
• Interest in offshore finance and cross‑jurisdictional matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise banks, financial institutions and borrowers on a broad range of finance transactions.
• Lead structuring, negotiation and documentation through closing and post‑closing.
• Provide strategic counsel on fund finance and related matters.
• Collaborate with partners and senior lawyers to support professional development.
• Engage directly with clients and onshore teams to deliver multi‑jurisdictional work.
• Contribute to business development and knowledge sharing inside the firm.
