Job summary

IVC Evidensia Group is recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon for an on-site role focused on veterinary certification within our Avondale Vet Group export team hub in Scotland. You will certify a variety of commodities and work closely with the clinical team to ensure high standards of animal care and regulatory compliance.

You will join a supportive practice with development opportunities, CPD, and a culture focused on care, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary certification not necessary, but knowledge of export certification processes and regulations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously check EHC applications.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively with customs officials to minimise delays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with certification of animal products and commodities is a plus.
• A Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS is required or eligible.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.

Responsibilities

• This is a full-time on-site role as an Official Veterinarian.
• Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting veterinary certification for a wide range of commodities.
• Collaborate with the wider practice team to deliver high-standard patient and client care.
