Job summary

A non-profit organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a finance professional to maintain day-to-day accounting records and ensure compliance with statutory and internal requirements. Responsibilities include managing project financials, preparing budget reports, and verifying claims and invoices. The ideal candidate should have experience in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with accounting software, preferably Tally.
  • Knowledge of statutory accounting requirements.
  • Ability to prepare budget variance analysis reports.

  • Review program requisitions to arrange timely payments.
Job description
  • Ensure day to day record keeping in accounting software Tally.
  • Maintain books of accounts in compliance with statutory requirements and DRRA requirements followed by financial policy
  • Ensure all types of project related Treasury Function going on timely manner e.g. fund flow, fund request, timely adjustment of advances such as fund receipts and disbursement.
  • Review program requisition to get approval and arrange payments accordingly.
  • Review invoices and process for payments with necessary supporting documents and approvals.
  • Support to prepare Budget Variance Analysis Report of all the projects on a regular basis
  • Prepare or review the payments bills/invoices, expenses summary, vouchers, the status of outstanding advances.
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statement on monthly basis.
  • Verify travel statements/claim and account for the same.
  • Verify stock and purchase and confirm stock report of consumable, assets and raw materials.
  • Ensure that all project related reimbursements/claims are accounted properly, supporting documents are available, develop reports as required by the Donor and Management of DRRA
  • Maintain administrative records (Employee file, attendance, leave) and administrative documentation for the project.
  • Provide assistance for project event implementation.
  • Maintain project stock for office consumable items (stationary, logistics) and keep record in the register.
  • Regular field visit in implementation areas in Manikganj, Satkhira and Vatara.
  • Any other assistance with respect to finances as required by the Executive Director.
