Job summary

Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is seeking a full-time Office & Yard Operative at Heathfield/Newton Abbot. The role combines office tasks (calling customers, taking orders, recording data) with forklift-based yard duties throughout the day.

The position runs Monday to Friday with 39 hours per week, no weekends. Salary is £14.24 per hour under PAYE, with other PAYE models available.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Answering the phone and dealing with customer enquiries
• Respond to customer questions
• Take customer orders
• Maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Off-loading deliveries with forklift truck
• Locate and pick correct orders
• Load customers’ vehicles safely
• Assist with general yard duties
• Report damaged, missing or incorrect stock
