My client is currently looking for an Office Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Location - LE4 (Leicester)

Pay rate - £26k / £29k - Dependant on experience

This is a varied and interesting role, ideal for someone who enjoys both office management and financial administration. You will be responsible for the organisation, coordination, and day-to-day management of office procedures within a nursery school setting. Working closely with the Director/Nursery Manager, your role is essential in ensuring the smooth and professional running of the nursery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the nursery office
  • General administrative and receptionist duties
  • Financial administration including:
    • Issuing invoices
    • Credit control
    • Administration of nursery grant funding
  • Assist in planning and coordinating nursery events and functions
  • Support marketing and publicity initiatives
  • Act as a key point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff
  • Order and manage resources and supplies efficiently
  • Assist in HR administrative processes (e.g., recruitment, staff records)
  • Design, implement, and maintain filing and record-keeping systems
  • Ensure all records and data are kept secure, confidential, and compliant with GDPR
  • Support policy and procedural updates
  • Coordinate appointments, staff schedules, and bookings
  • Monitor and authorise office supply acquisitions
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure working environment
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous office administration and financial/accounts experience (required)
  • Experience in a school or childcare setting (preferred but not essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel (essential)
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Discreet, professional, and able to handle confidential information
  • Friendly, approachable manner with strong interpersonal skills

Opening times are 7.30 am to 6.00 pm, ideally flexibility for shifts between these times
