Overview

Blaise Primary and Nursery School in Bristol is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Office Manager to join our school team. As the Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient functioning of our school. Your responsibilities will include managing the school office, overseeing office staff, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the school office, ensuring a welcoming and organised environment
  • Supervise the office team and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including pupil attendance, staff records, and financial information
  • Coordinate school events, meetings, and appointments
  • Manage communication with parents and carers, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Assist with financial tasks, such as budget monitoring and processing invoices
  • Support the SBM, Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team with administrative duties
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Have English and Maths to GCSE equivalent
  • Be able to find creative solutions to problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in using office software and computer systems
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Salary: Office Manager Grade BG8 SCP 12-16 £29064-31022; FTE actual salary £22318-23815
  • Hours: 32.5 Hours Term Time + 5 Inset days
  • Start date: As soon as possible, and by January 2026 at the latest
  • Managed by: School Business Manager
  • Closing date: 14th November 2025 10:00am
  • Interview date: 18th November 2025
