Job Description

The Geophysicist is responsible to collect, process, interpret, and analyse geophysical data acquired to produce accurate and informative maps and models of the sub‑seafloor geology. You will work in a great team in the office in Norwich, UK, or Naples, IT. As a geophysicist you play a key role in our goal to meet and excel our clients requirements.

Your Responsibilities Include
  • Production of the data deliverables during the project operations. Monitoring and promptly report any data quality issue with the processing results.
  • The Geophysicist is also responsible for interpreting the processed data (SSS/SBP/MAG).
  • Produce final deliverables in line with the company Quality standards and in line with project requirements.
Who We’re Looking For
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in geophysics, geology, or a related field is typically required, experience in the role within the offshore survey industry may be considered.
  • Experience with SonarWiz/SeaView/CODA/Oasis Montaj processing suite; similar software may be considered.
  • Ability to QA/QC SSS/SBP/MAG data.
  • Proficiency with GIS software, such as ArcGIS and QGIS, is required.
  • Ability to produce ESRI compliant geodatabases, integrating all survey data to the client’s specification.
  • Offshore experience is preferred.
  • A familiarity with geological/geophysical equipment can be helpful.
  • Good written and oral English.
  • Must be able to travel freely.
  • We are looking for proactive people with great communication skills because it is essential in working with other members of a survey team. Reading and interpreting client requirements, and presenting results to clients are skills that are great to have. Furthermore its is important that you are well organized, have time management skills, eye for detail and are quality driven.
