Job summary

NRL is seeking an Office and Facilities Manager for our Manchester office on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will oversee daily operations, maintain a safe, welcoming workspace, and support employees, clients and visitors.

Responsibilities include budgeting, supplier liaison, space planning, meeting room management, compliance with Health & Safety, and coordinating onboarding. BPSS clearance eligibility and UK residency of at least 3 years are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in office or facilities management.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
  • Experience budgeting, expenditure and supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Eligible for BPSS clearance and full right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum of 3 years' continuous residency in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operation of the Manchester office, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Act as the main contact for office and facilities queries, liaising with landlords, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Manage office supplies and stock levels, arranging orders as needed.
  • Coordinate workspace planning, meeting room bookings and office moves or layout changes.
  • Monitor and manage the local office budget, supporting financial planning and reporting.
  • Process invoices and resolve payment queries with suppliers and Finance teams.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and environmental standards are met, maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage visitor processes, access systems and onboarding for new starters.

Must-have Requirements
  • Previous experience in office management, facilities or similar roles.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Experience managing budgets, expenditure and supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be eligible for BPSS clearance: Full right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum of 3 years' continuous residency in the UK.
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Procurement experience and contractor management skills.
