Job description

Office & Facilities Assistant
Permanent, full time on site
Galloway -St Johns Town of Dalry

£25,000 - £38,000 Depending on experience

CLOSING DATE – 10 November

Who we are:

We’re not just talking about making a difference, we’re making it happen. We generate dispatchable, renewable power and create stable energy in an uncertain world. Building on our proud heritage, we have ambition to become the global leader in sustainable biomass and carbon removals.

You’ll be joining our teams of practical doers, future thinkers and business champions. We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.

About the role:

We’re looking for a dynamic individual to be the heartbeat of our site operations. If you thrive on variety and independence, this role could be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the front desk and welcome visitors with professionalism and warmth
  • Coordinate training plans and support safety inductions
  • Oversee site facilities and ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Monitor and maintain fleet vehicle records
  • Keep accurate reports and records to support compliance and efficiency
  • Liaise with contractors and manage stock levels
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised site environment

This is a standalone administrative role where you'll often work independently, and on quieter days may interact with only a small number of people—so being comfortable with minimal social contact is essential.

What we’re looking for:

We’re after someone who’s equal parts organised, approachable, and proactive. Here’s what will help you shine in this role:

  • A natural organiser who thrives on structure and can juggle multiple priorities with ease.
  • Confident communicator—whether you’re answering phones, briefing staff, or coordinating with contractors.
  • Detail‑oriented and diligent when it comes to record‑keeping, reporting, and compliance.
  • Comfortable navigating procurement systems and managing budgets (bonus points if you’ve used Maximo).
  • Passionate about staff wellbeing and creating a positive workplace environment.
  • Tech‑savvy enough to manage training logistics, document control, and digital systems.
  • A collaborative spirit who enjoys working with teams across departments and supporting site‑wide initiatives.

If you’re ready to bring energy, efficiency, and a touch of humour to a role that truly makes a difference—this could be your next big move.

Rewards and benefits:

As you help us to shape the future, we’ve shaped our rewards and benefits to help you thrive and support your lifestyle. If successful in this role you’ll get:

  • A discretionary bonus depending on company performance
  • Private Healthcare
  • SAYE (Sharesave): discretionary scheme from time to time
  • Personal accident cover
  • Group personal pension plan where we’ll pay up to 10%
  • Holiday 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Reimbursement of the cost of your annual membership of one relevant and appropriate professional body
