Job summary

A professional services firm in Surrey, BC, is seeking a full-time Office Coordinator to manage daily operations, train staff, and maintain filing systems. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada. This role offers a competitive hourly wage between $17.85 to $20.00 for 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • 1 to less than 7 months of related experience.
  • Permanent resident of Canada or temporary resident with valid work permit.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the flow of information within the team.
  • Open and distribute mail and other materials.
  • Plan and organize daily operations.
  • Train staff.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures.
  • Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Answer telephone and relay calls and messages.
  • Compile data, statistics and other information.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas.
  • Set up and maintain filing systems.
  • Type and proofread correspondence and forms.
  • Provide customer service.
