Job description

We’re on the lookout for a confident and commercially minded OEM Strategic Relationship Manager to join our team. If you’ve got a strong background in the automotive industry and a talent for building strong, strategic relationships, this could be just the role for you.

This is a key position where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, to deliver real commercial value. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team and supported by our Management and Executive Board, giving you the tools and insight to make a real impact.

What you’ll bring:

What you’ll get:

The working hours are 35 hours per week, from Monday to Friday on a hybrid working pattern with the option to work from home up to 3 days per week following successful probation.

Role Specifics

Account Management & Development
Develop strong relationships and a wide network of contacts within relevant OEMs at a senior/director level.
Create and direct comprehensive strategic brand plans which will target sustainable account growth and create stronger dependencies with CBS to deliver solution participation and penetration.

Knowledge & Commerciality

Oversee and understand the technical and commercial scheme design.
Overall responsibility for the commercial position of all schemes and solutions, working in collaboration with all parties to maximise return.

Communication & Collaboration
Collaborate closely with OEM Partnership Managers, Sales, and Pricing to gather insights on dealer performance and plans, enhancing reliance on CBS.
Maintain up-to-date CRM records for all OEM activities and opportunities.
Work with peers on projects to share best practices, address challenges, and achieve successful resolutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing high-profile clients at the senior or director level.
  • A strong commercial and consultancy mindset.
  • Skilled in building relationships and effectively leveraging your persuasive abilities to enhance value and achieve business goals.
  • Adept at intelligent negotiation.
  • Commercially astute with a genuine enthusiasm for diving deep into understanding CBS's technical solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, capable of engaging in meaningful conversations at every level.
  • Strategic thinker and doer, proficient in crafting robust business plans.
  • Inquisitive by nature, always asking insightful questions and eager to learn more.
  • Experience in utilising CRM systems, dedicated to ensuring it serves as the single source of truth.
  • A true team player who inspires and mentors colleagues to foster continuous improvement.
  • Willing to travel for in-person client meetings across the UK while also maintaining a strong presence in the office to strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders.
