Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) is a collaboration of UK police forces working with the UK intelligence community to help protect the public and our national security by preventing, deterring and investigating terrorist activity.
Based at our modern offices near to Birmingham International Airport, our Operational Development Unit (ODU) is a dedicated team who are responsible for the strategic management of Learning, Training and Exercising (LTE) within the CT Network. The unit forms a key part of the Prepare strand of the Home Office CONTEST Strategy. Working alongside our partners, the ODU harnesses the value of shared LTE to ensure the CT Network is ready, prepared and interoperable to respond to current and emerging terrorism threats.
We're looking for a highly organised, committed individual with excellent IT skills, and high levels of customer service to join us as a Business Support Officer to organise and administer training events and provide administrative support across the team.
You will work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm but an element of flexibility is necessary to meet operational requirements. The role is primarily office based however there will be some flexibility to work in an agile approach.
As a key member of our Operational Development Unit, you'll be responsible for supporting the efficient and effective administration of a portfolio of training packages.
Using your excellent customer service and communication skills, you'll provide support including booking accommodation and travel, undertaking finance, procurement, and general administration duties. You'll be the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to resource management and attendance on LTE events and meetings.
