Job summary

Experis is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Linux/OCI) for a UK remote role. The position focuses on administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Linux systems across production and non-production environments, with leadership in OS upgrade projects and strong RHEL expertise.

You will monitor performance, implement security hardening, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support migrations and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• OCI expertise in managing cloud infrastructure.
• Extensive Linux system administration experience.
• Proven experience performing Operating System upgrades within enterprise environments.
• Strong experience supporting and administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

Responsibilities

• Perform administration, maintenance, and support of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems in production and non-production environments.
• Lead and execute operating system upgrade projects, including planning, testing, implementation, and post-upgrade support.
• Perform Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Implement security best practices, compliance controls, and system hardening activities.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, platform, and operating system issues.
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, and project teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Support cloud migration, transformation, and modernisation initiatives.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
