Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an Occupational Therapy Support Worker to join the Carseview Centre team in Dundee. The role supports recovery-focused services for in-patients with mental health needs and works within a multi-disciplinary team.

Hours are 24 per week, with a pro-rata salary; the post emphasises values of dignity, respect and teamwork and includes regular training and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the occupational therapy team in the treatment of adult in-patient mental health patients at Carseview Centre.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to contribute to recovery-focused service delivery.
• Attend regular supervision, in-service training and development as part of role requirements.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapy Support Worker to join our occupational therapy team at the Carseview Centre.

Carseview provides and supports recovery focused services for in- patients with acute and/or enduring mental health problems.

We have a structured staff review system and are committed to regular in-service training and personal and professional development with regular supervision provided by an occupational therapist within the team. The post will be managed by the Lead Occupational Therapist for adult in patient mental health at Carseview.

You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.
