A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a motivated Senior Therapy Support Worker to join their Orthopaedic team. In this role, you will assess and treat patients to encourage functional independence and support their discharge from hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in the NHS, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly within a multi-disciplinary team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapy Senior Therapy Support worker to join our inpatient Orthopaedic team.
As a Senior Therapy Support worker, you will be assessing and treating patients in a range of daily activities to encourage functional independence in preparation for their discharge from hospital.
You will be working under the guidance of an established and supportive team of qualified Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and other therapy support staff within the services.
You will be supported to develop the skills to work independently, to provide delivery of care including liaison with patients, family members, carers, the multi-disciplinary team and external agencies following a “home first” model.
IT skills are required, as the service operates with electronic patient records.
