We are part of the Home First Team – Occupational Therapy, South Tyneside. South Tyneside is a fantastic place to be with passionate people, who really care about each other; great partnership working as part of our South Tyneside Alliance; some amazing services and a real sense of community spirit.

Adult Social Care in South Tyneside has been highly commended in the Skills for Care Accolades awards 2020 for the most effective collaborative approach to integrated new models of care category, and a finalist in the national Social Work Awards and the LGC Awards. Connecting people to their community, family and friends is a key occupational aspect of our work. We are therefore looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapy Practitioner who is fully committed to supporting people with care and support needs to realise their full potential.

You will be joining an integrated multi‑disciplinary team which utilises Let’s Talk Together – our strengths‑based approach – and as such you will be expected to employ a broad range of interventions such as reablement, major and minor adaptations, equipment and other solutions to support people to remain independent at home.
