We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Occupational Therapy Team to support recovery and rehabilitation activities in the integrated care pathway at Cygnet Hospital Churchill.
Cygnet Churchill is a 56 bed inpatient service for men in London. Cygnet Churchill has three wards including two emergency acute admissions service (Juniper Ward and Palm Ward) and two high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) services (Elm Court and Mulberry Court).
The occupational therapy department at Cygnet Churchill is incredibly well resourced. In fact, the building was designed with rehabilitation in mind. The facilities include a therapy piazza with activity rooms, music room, art room, a barber shop, library, gym, internet cafe, therapy kitchens, a dining room and a therapy garden.
The Occupational Therapy Assistant role involves planning and implementing therapeutic activities appropriate to the needs, choices and interests of individuals in our care, under the supervision and guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will also be working with the in-house MDT which is designed to support the individual in our care throughout their journey with us.

Salary: £29,137.50 increasing to £29,662.50 post probation
Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, between 9:00am and 5:00pm
Responsible for: Supporting Occupational Therapists to perform their role in the assessment, treatment and development of individuals in our care.
Responsible to: Ward Occupational Therapist and Head of Occupational Therapy (Line manager)
