Job summary

David Lewis Clinical & Therapy Services is inviting an Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team at the David Lewis School, College and Residential Services. The role focuses on assessing and treating a specialist caseload across children and adults with complex needs, including learning disabilities and autism.

You will work under the Therapy Lead in a service that supports residents and students with a range of environments, from school and college to hydrotherapy and forest

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Occupational Therapy Degree Qualification (or equivalent) and HCPC Registration.
• Ideally be a Registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills and will be a strong team player with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the assessment and treatment of a specialist caseload.
• Support the Therapy Lead and join a team of occupational therapists to shape service development.
• Provide comprehensive assessments of independence across social, communication, education and life skills.
