What you will do
  • Undertake occupational therapy assessments, care planning, and reviews to promote personal independence and daily living skills.
  • Advise, teach, and support individuals and carers in overcoming disability and maximising independence.
  • Recommend and provide standard and specialist equipment, and advise on adaptations to clients’ homes.
  • Liaise with colleagues in health, social care, and partner agencies to ensure coordinated, multi-disciplinary support.
  • Supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants and students as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, professional standards, and Council policies.
  • Commit to safeguarding adults and upholding the Council’s Equality Policy.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist
  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Recent NHS experience.
  • Registered with the HCPC.
