A healthcare organization in Bristol is seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to lead the Medical Respiratory Therapy Team. The role includes treating complex medical patients, providing evidence-based care, and managing a caseload while supervising team members. This full-time position requires commitment to weekend working. The contract is fixed-term until 25/10/2026.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and manage your own caseload.
  • Provide professional supervision to the Occupational Therapist in the Medical Team.
  • Commit to 1:4 weekend working plus 2 bank holidays per year.

Overview

Band 7 Occupational Therapist – Medical Respiratory Therapy Team Lead BRI site. Fixed term until 25/10/2026, full time (37.5 hours per week, 1.0 WTE).

Responsibilities
  • Work in an acute and respiratory medicine setting, treating and managing complex medical patients in an in‑patient environment.
  • Provide evidence‑based treatments, challenge current practice, and ensure up‑to‑date care.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, manage your own caseload and oversee the workload of other team members.
  • Provide professional supervision to the Occupational Therapist working in the Medical Team.
  • Remain flexible to meet the changing needs of the caseload; commit to 1:4 weekend working plus 2 bank holidays per year.
