Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel in Birkenhead is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Equipment and Adaptations Team on an initial 3-month contract. The full-time role (36 hours per week) offers hybrid working and a competitive hourly rate of £31.65 in Birkenhead, UK.

You will conduct specialist assessments, collaborate with individuals, families and external agencies, and support junior staff while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Experience arranging specialist equipment and major adaptations.
• Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialist assessments of needs, including risk management, to offer expert advice and suitable solutions.
• Work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and external agencies to assess needs and develop action plans.
• Support and guide junior staff and students in developing their skills and knowledge.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service responses.
• Balance needs and risks with rights, promoting positive outcomes and independence for individuals.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with legal requirements.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns in collaboration with investigating officers.
