We are looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Deputy Team Manager – Occupational Therapist to join our Reablement Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in a service that supports people to regain independence and remain safely in their homes. As Deputy Team Manager, you will take an active role in the daily leadership and professional development of a multidisciplinary Reablement Team that delivers short‑term support to residents following hospital discharge.
What you’ll do:
- Provide professional advice, guidance and supervision to Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Care Assessors and OT Assistants
- Lead and develop staff to deliver effective reablement and person‑centred outcomes
- Strengthen integrated working with NHS partners, community hubs and third‑sector providers
- Support staff development and contribute to workforce training to retain and upskill team members
- Oversee service delivery, ensuring compliance with best practice standards, Care Act responsibilities and the ethos of promoting independence
- Contribute to shaping service improvement and the delivery of the Integrated Care Partnership
Qualifications
- A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Significant post‑qualification experience in Adult Social Care, Intermediate Care or Reablement services
- Experience of supervising staff, students or volunteers in a care or clinical setting
- Sound knowledge of legislation and guidance relevant to Occupational Therapy and Adult Social Care
- Experience of partnership working with health, housing or community care providers
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills
