About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Community Team within Ceredigion’s Adult Social Services. This ongoing role offers an excellent hourly rate of £37 and the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals across the local community.

Ceredigion Council is currently restructuring its Occupational Therapy services, creating an inspiring environment for innovation, growth, and collaboration. You’ll be part of a friendly and forward-thinking team that values shared learning, professional development, and high-quality service delivery. This role is ideal for someone with experience in complex adaptations and manual handling who is ready to take on a rewarding and varied caseload.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex community cases involving long-term and chronic conditions.

Conduct detailed manual handling assessments and produce comprehensive plans.

Undertake postural assessments and provide specialist seating and wheelchair prescriptions.

Utilise expertise in complex manual handling equipment and disability aids.

Identify and recommend environmental adaptations, including stair lifts, ramps, and hoist systems.

Supervise and mentor junior OTs and OT Assistants, supporting skill development.

Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure effective communication across services.

Work independently, demonstrating strong organisational and time-management skills.

HCPC registration (Occupational Therapist).

Full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel required for home assessments).

Proven experience in complex adaptations, manual handling, and community-based care.
