A leading healthcare provider in Glasgow is seeking a senior occupational therapist for a full-time position within a multidisciplinary Adult Community Mental Health Team. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, be HCPC registered, and possess excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include providing therapy assessments and treatments, acting as a key worker, and supervising students. This is an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent contract senior occupational therapist within a multi‑disciplinary Adult Community Mental Health Team. Essential to this post is an experienced Occupational Therapist who is confident with their core skills, has excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative clinical style.
Knowledge of care of adults with mental health issues and appropriate interventions. You will undertake occupational therapy assessment and treatment for individuals and groups residing in the south of Glasgow, act as a key worker to clients with complex mental health difficulties and participate in service developments. You will be responsible for making recommendations to facilitate safe and independent living, supporting clients with recovery through day structure including vocational rehabilitation, access to leisure, self‑care and education. You will undertake clinical and professional supervision of Occupational Therapy students and staff.
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check. Pre‑employment checks will take place, as per Greater Glasgow and Clyde policy. A driving licence is desirable.
