There are Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities including wider OT service development and forums within Adult Community Mental Health.
The post holder will work within the South Warwickshire Community Mental Health Service, with our two main bases at Stratford Health Care and Leamington Spa. You will work flexibly across the South Warwickshire area, responding to the needs of the service and the people we support. We are excited to offer this Occupational Therapist opportunity within South Warwickshire CMHT, working with people with a wide range of mental health diagnoses, including both psychosis and non-psychosis.
You will conduct comprehensive specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and evidence-based interventions, using clinical reasoning skills to support people to maximise recovery, independence and wellbeing through meaningful activity, self-care, productivity, and leisure. This includes people with complex presentations, and with psychosis, trauma, sensory differences, and a wide range of mental health conditions. This may be through both 1:1 and group work.
You will work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and the wider MDT, contributing your specialist OT knowledge to care planning, reviews and service development. As part of your Occupational Therapy role, you will also undertake delegated team-based tasks.
We are always looking for people who share our passion for improving lives, promoting wellbeing and making a positive difference within our communities. If you are someone who brings compassion, works collaboratively, strives for excellence and treats everyone with integrity and respect, we would love you to consider joining us.
