Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an occupational therapist to join a friendly inter-professional team in the Hastings & Rother area. You will independently manage a community caseload, supervise Band 5 and Band 4/3 staff, and contribute to education of other professionals.

The role includes service improvement and health promotion activities. The post requires a BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, and a postgraduate qualification or active professional development.

Job summary

This is a Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity to work as part of a friendly inter-professional team in the Hastings & Rother area. Independently managing a caseload, which will include routine and complex cases who require rehabilitation in the community setting. To supervise Band 5; Band 4 and Band 3 staff. To participate in the education of other professionals or other disciplines.

Main duties of the job

To provide a holistic assessment to clients with diverse or complex presentations, working within the community as part of an inter-professional team. To provide specific occupational therapy intervention as required. To key work individual cases as appropriate. To provide occupational therapy advice to other colleagues within the team. To participate as a member of the team. To manage a clinical caseload. To support service improvement and delivery within the team. To participate in health promotion and education of staff, clients and families.
