A healthcare trust in the East of England is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their ARFID mini-team. This role, covering 6 months of maternity leave, involves providing high-quality therapy to children with eating disorders. Ideal candidates should have experience with young people, be motivated, and capable of working closely with a multidisciplinary team. Professional development opportunities will be available.
We are the first eating disorder services in the East of England to develop a mini‑team focused solely on the treatment of children and young people with Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). The ARFID mini team has been operational since April 2023. This team is integrated within the existing under 18’s specialist eating disorders service in Norfolk and Waveney.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team to cover maternity leave for 6 months. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the continued development of the service as an Occupational Therapist. You will be joining a small, friendly team of multi professionals who are passionate about providing good care to this population of young people and their carers.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced, preferably with experience of working with young people and their families, but experience with young adults or adults with eating disorders is also relevant. The successful applicant will be required to work within national guidelines and have excellent team working skills.
There are excellent opportunities for professional development within the team through supervision, training, team CPD and wider Specialist Services and Trust events. You will be supported within the team by senior clinicians and will work closely with other specialists within the service. Clinical supervision and professional leadership will be provided.
We have challenges as a Trust, but we have ambitious aspirations, are pushing ahead with exciting transformation work and we need dedicated individuals to support us on our journey. We have strong, established professional networks coupled with an exceptional leadership team who will ensure you are truly cared for and cared about.
The people here are warm and welcoming, you’ll never be far from the beautiful coastline or Broads National Park. We’re an hour and a half away from London and have an international airport in Norwich too. Our villages, towns and cities are packed full of history, independent cafes, shops and theatres. We have excellent shopping, eating out, top ranking schooling and affordable house prices too.
