Position Overview

An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist has arisen, to contribute to the provision of the Occupational Therapy Service within the Adult In‑patient Pathway at St George’s Park, Morpeth.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with a range of mental health needs. You will play a significant role in discharge planning and support clients to progress through their recovery pathway. You may work across wards depending on service needs.

The therapist will work as an autonomous practitioner while collaborating closely with the expanding Occupational Therapy team and multidisciplinary colleagues. Regular formal and informal supervision and support will be provided by a Band 6 Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with a degree/diploma (or equivalent).
  • Motivated to provide high‑quality, evidence‑based interventions to service users accessing Adult Mental Health in inpatient services.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development; continuous professional development essential.
Experience

This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified occupational therapist or an existing Band 5 looking to broaden their experience.
