An NHS Foundation Trust in the UK is seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy Service in Morpeth. This role involves providing assessments and interventions for patients with mental health needs, supporting their recovery and discharge planning. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Occupational Therapist motivated to deliver quality care. An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist has arisen, to contribute to the provision of the Occupational Therapy Service within the Adult In‑patient Pathway at St George’s Park, Morpeth.
You will be responsible for providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with a range of mental health needs. You will play a significant role in discharge planning and support clients to progress through their recovery pathway. You may work across wards depending on service needs.
The therapist will work as an autonomous practitioner while collaborating closely with the expanding Occupational Therapy team and multidisciplinary colleagues. Regular formal and informal supervision and support will be provided by a Band 6 Occupational Therapist.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified occupational therapist or an existing Band 5 looking to broaden their experience.
