Job description
Role Overview

To manage a defined caseload of service users on a rotational basis, under the supervision of a Senior Occupational Therapist. The post holder will work as part of an integrated multi‑disciplinary team and in partnership with other agencies and services, in line with the Care Programme Approach to promote recovery and social inclusion. The post may include acute inpatient, later life and community settings as part of a rotational programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions across the AMHP 4 Pillars of Practice – Clinical Practice, Leadership, Education and Research.
  • Apply person‑centred principles and evidence‑based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions.
  • Carry out interventions in hospital and community settings, including home visits.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and partner agencies to promote recovery and social inclusion.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with the Care Programme Approach.
Professional Development & Training

The role is part of a rotation programme that supports the candidate’s continuing professional development. Candidates will be supervised by a Senior Occupational Therapist and are required to enrol in the DBS Update Service (£16 per year).
