Role Purpose

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic employment-focused multidisciplinary team. This remote-based role is ideal for an HCPC-registered OT with a strong understanding of neurodiversity, mental health, and learning difficulties, and a passion for enabling individuals to overcome barriers to employment. The role offers flexibility and can be delivered on a full-time or part-time basis; however, you will need to attend our Manchester office for pre‑employment checks and team meetings.

Duties
  • Conduct virtual assessments to identify barriers to employment, including neurodiversity, learning difficulties, and mental health factors.
  • Create tailored intervention plans to support individuals’ recovery and transition to sustainable work.
  • Provide advice and practical recommendations to employers on workplace adjustments, guided by legislation such as the Equality Act 2010.
  • Produce high‑quality reports detailing assessment outcomes and reasonable adjustments.
  • Collaborate with Employment Specialists, Recruitment Consultants, and other professionals to deliver holistic, person‑centred support.
  • Offer advice on complex cases and deliver training sessions to colleagues and employers on neurodiversity, disability awareness, and workplace adaptation.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and uphold standards in line with clinical governance and professional frameworks.
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision, ongoing CPD, and maintain accurate case documentation.
Required Skills
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
  • Experience supporting individuals with neurodiversity, learning difficulties, and mental health challenges.
  • Strong understanding of workplace adjustments and evidence‑based rehabilitation practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and clinical governance principles.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and IT skills.
  • Experience delivering training or group sessions is desirable.
  • Able to work independently, manage a varied caseload, and collaborate effectively as part of a remote team.
