Job summary

Orchard Hill College is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our experienced team in a specialist educational setting. You will develop clinical skills and work collaboratively with educators and other professionals to meet pupils’ needs.

The role offers opportunities for CPD, ongoing training, and a supportive environment focused on pupil development, home/community outcomes, and holistic well-being.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Membership of the College of Occupational Therapists.
  • HCPC registration and active practice.
  • Post-graduate Sensory Integration qualifications (Levels 1 & 2).
  • Understanding of ASD, SLCN and related behaviours.
  • Knowledge of standardised/functional assessment tools.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the Occupational Therapy provision across the waking day curriculum.
  • Be accountable as a member of a multi-disciplinary team for pupil outcomes.
  • Maintain and improve school standards through OT input.
  • Ensure pupils have full access to the curriculum.
  • Support pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • Advance holistic development and functional life skills.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop therapeutic approaches in an educational setting.
