Full Time or Part Time - Temporary (circa 12 months)

Role Purpose

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic employment-focused multidisciplinary team. This remote-based role is ideal for an HCPC-registered OT with a strong understanding of neurodiversity, mental health, and learning difficulties, and a passion for enabling individuals to overcome barriers to employment. Experience in vocational rehabilitation or employability services would be highly beneficial but not essential. The role offers flexibility and can be delivered on a full-time or part-time basis; however, you will need to attend our Manchester office for pre-employment checks and team meetings.

Duties
  • Conduct virtual assessments to identify barriers to employment, including neurodiversity, learning difficulties, and mental health factors.
  • Create tailored intervention plans to support individuals' recovery and transition to sustainable work.
  • Provide advice and practical recommendations to employers on workplace adjustments, guided by legislation such as the Equality Act 2010.
  • Produce high-quality reports detailing assessment outcomes and reasonable adjustments.
  • Collaborate with Employment Specialists, Recruitment Consultants, and other professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred support.
  • Offer advice on complex cases and deliver training sessions to colleagues and employers on neurodiversity, disability awareness, and workplace adaptation.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and uphold standards in line with clinical governance and professional frameworks.
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision, ongoing CPD, and maintain accurate case documentation.
Required Skills
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
  • Experience supporting individuals with neurodiversity, learning difficulties, and mental health challenges.
  • Strong understanding of workplace adjustments and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and clinical governance principles.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and IT skills.
  • Experience delivering training or group sessions is desirable.
  • Able to work independently, manage a varied caseload, and collaborate effectively as part of a remote team.

Please note: this role does not involve direct hands‑on clinical treatment and is delivered virtually. An enhanced DBS and HPAN check will be required prior to appointment.
