Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of adults facing mental health challenges? Langley Green Hospital in Crawley is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience of working with people with mental health difficulties to join our dynamic Acute OT Therapies Team. The role is 30 hours per week.
You will take a lead for one of our wards and be responsible for providing specialist occupational therapy assessment, treatment planning, and 1:1 and group interventions to adults with acute mental health needs, taking a recovery-focused approach.
You will be an integral part of the ward multidisciplinary team and play a key role in contributing to safe and effective discharges.

This is a great opportunity as a band 6 OT to bring your expertise and skills to the team or if you would like to broaden your existing knowledge within acute mental health. In collaboration with the ward MDT and patients families, carers and support networks, you will take a pivotal role in discharge planning for patients, ensuring a smooth, timely transition back into the community. The role includes some OT assessments in home environments to identify OT interventions, equipment and support needs as part of discharge planning.
Group work is an important aspect of the Therapeutic Programme at Langley Green Hospital. The role includes psychoeducational and therapeutic group facilitation and involvement in the development and coordination of the programme.
There is an expectation to be involved in projects and service developments happening within the team, giving opportunity to develop both your own skills and to contribute to continuous service improvements.
