Job summary

A managed service agency is seeking a skilled Children's Occupational Therapist to work with children experiencing disabilities and autism. Qualifications

• Experience working with children with disabilities or autism.
• Ability to prepare plans and adapt homes for independence.

Children's Occupational Therapist

Locum

£38 an Hour

3 Month Initial Contract

Working alongside Social Worker colleagues, you will hold a caseload of children who experience varying degrees of physical and/or learning disabilities and autism.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on appropriate choice of special equipment, adaption and housing needs.
• Representing the service at Multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Preparing plans and advise on the needs of disabled people with a view to adapt their home to maintain Independence.
• Providing ongoing training in manual handling and use of equipment.
• Maintaining and developing professional knowledge, ensuring appropriate training for self and assisting staff.
• Maintaining awareness of corporate and departmental policies and procedures and ensuring these are adhered to.
• Providing information to Children's Services colleagues and other professionals/teams.
