Occupational Health Technician – Mobile Medical Unit (Cambridge & UK Travel)
Salary: £25,000–£27,000 per annum + benefits
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hrs per week (usually between 8am–6pm)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Cambridge (regional travel with occasional UK-wide travel)

About the Role

OH Medical is recruiting for a leading Occupational Health provider for an Occupational Health Technician to join their expanding peripatetic team. In this exciting role, you’ll drive a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) across the UK, delivering high-quality health surveillance services to employees in a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities

This is a dynamic and rewarding Occupational Health Technician post, perfect for someone enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to expand their skills. You’ll receive a 3-week training and induction programme, with ongoing mentoring and support from the wider OH team. Your duties will include:

  • Conduct health surveillance screenings: audiometry, lung function testing, height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis
  • Accurately record all medical information in OH records for clinical staff
  • Maintain and ensure all equipment is clean, calibrated, and serviceable
  • Support health promotion activities and additional OH tasks as required
  • Assist the OH team by providing accurate biometric data to support clinical decision-making
Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled, self‑motivated professional with strong time management, communication, and organisational skills. You’ll be confident working both independently and as part of a team, able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and take initiative.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience as:

  • Occupational Health Technician
  • Healthcare Support Worker (hospital setting only)
  • Emergency Care Assistant / Technician
  • Ambulance Technician / Assistant
  • Army Medic
  • Graduates with a Sports Science degree and experience in baseline health measurements

Other requirements:

  • Valid manual UK driving licence held for 12+ months
  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Ability to provide a licence share code ( requires UK Driving License number and National Insurance Number)
  • Use of a personal vehicle during initial employment until MMU is provided
  • Space to park the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) at or near home during the length of employment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and stay away up to 3 weeks per month (home every weekend).
