Job summary

A leading Occupational Health Provider is seeking a full-time Occupational Health Technician in Bristol. The role involves delivering health screenings, maintaining records, and supporting health promotion. Ideal candidates will have experience in an Occupational Health setting and will possess strong communication and IT skills. A competitive salary between £25,000 and £27,000 is offered along with additional benefits including annual leave and pension contributions.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within an Occupational Health setting preferred.
  • Backgrounds such as Hospital Health Care Assistant, Fitness Instructor, EMT, or Medic considered.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mobile Occupational Health Screening Service.
  • Deliver Health Screening including Baseline Measurements.
  • Maintain all employee medical records accurately.

Skills

Previously experience in Occupational Health setting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in IT and digital systems
Full UK Manual Driving License
Experience in Health Promotion, Audiometry, Spirometry

OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician to join a leading Occupational Health Provider, in a Full-Time Permanent role. This exciting opportunity will see you cover the Bristol area.

The Role

This role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Technician to provide a mobile Occupational Health Screening Service. Your duties will include:

  • Deliver Health Screening including Baseline Measurements (Height, Weight, BP and Urinalysis)
  • Undertake Health Surveillance, and fitness-for-work medicals (including Audiometry & Spirometry)
  • Deliver Health and Wellbeing promotion & advice
  • Maintain all employee records with accurately recorded medical information
  • Ensure all clinic equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in proper working condition
  • Assist the broader occupational health team with their responsibilities, ensuring all information is collected and recorded accurately.
Required Skills

To be the successful Occupational Health Technician candidate for this role, you'll be:

  • Previously experience working within an Occupational Health setting is preferred
  • Suitable backgrounds include: Hospital Health Care Assistant; Fitness Instructor; Ambulance EMT; Military Medic; Offshore Medic.
  • Friendly and approachable with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT and digital systems.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
  • Knowledgeable about patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Strong educational background with good numeracy and written English skills.
  • Able to work under supervision and aware of professional boundaries.
  • The holder of a Full UK Manual Driving License
  • Ideally experienced in Health Promotion, Audiometry, Spirometry & Vision testing
Travel Requirements

You’ll need to have a suitable space to park your Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) at or near your home overnight and be comfortable with the travel involved in this role, which includes regular overnight stays. Typically, you’ll be away from home for around three weeks out of every four – but rest assured, you’ll always get home on Fridays for the weekend.
