Occupational Health Technician x 2 Vacancies

£30,000 - £35,000 (DOE) + Car Allowance

Hybrid Role - Travelling to sites will be a main part of the role. One role will cover M6 Corridor. One role will cover M1 Corridor.

Role

The Role of Occupational Health Technician:

Conduct a range of health assessments with employees to determine their current level of health in relation to their workplace exposures (shift pattern could include working weekends and night shifts - but flexibility around diary management given.)

  • Undertake all forms or health assessment and surveillance, including but not limited to
  • Hearing and Vibration
  • Substances that are hazardous to health (COSHH)
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • Occupational asthma
  • Dermatitis
  • Night working hours
  • Managing drug and alcohol misuse at work
  • Safety Critical workers
  • Lone workers, FLT drivers, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces
  • New starter health assessment and screening
  • Complete high quality health outcome reports
  • Liaise regularly with Occupational Health Nurse Advisors, Health & Safety and Human Resources personnel
  • Record and maintain data to GDPR/medical ethics standards
  • Deliver and monitor the annual Health Surveillance Programme delivery
  • Engagement and communication with customers using an online booking system
  • Work alongside the relevant teams, to ensure baseline/HS and any outstanding tests are delivered
Requirements for the Role

Health Sciences Background

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Accredited to provide audiometry and spirometry assessment
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Flexibility with regards to travel and hours worked
