A leading transport company seeks an Occupational Health Technician to join their team in Reading and Swindon. The role involves conducting health medicals, promoting well-being, and requires travel across the GWR Network. Ideal candidates should have knowledge of health protocols and a can-do attitude. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits, including travel provisions.

The GWR Occupational Health team are made up of qualified occupational health specialist nurses, occupational health technicians, physicians, physiotherapists, and administrators. We have three centres: Reading, Plymouth, and Swindon. We also have a bespoke mobile unit that operates mainly in the west region. Our function is to ensure that colleagues are fit for work in line with set industry standards and that work does not adversely affect the colleagues' health. The team are professional, dynamic, and forward thinking.

The role will be based in our Reading and Swindon Occupational Health Clinics, but there will be some requirement to travel to other sites, and occasional night working. The technician will conduct safety critical medicals, health surveillance medicals, and plan and engage with various health promotion and wellbeing activities.

This is a full-time role, 5 days/week. Some travel and off-site working will be required therefore a degree of flexibility is needed. Train travel is provided.
