Job description

The postholder will be based within the Occupational Health Team and will undertake various administrative clerical duties within a busy office environment while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Activities will include reception duties, filing and record maintenance, data entry and secretarial work to support the administrative and nursing teams. The role involves providing a client-focused reception service in an efficient, courteous and welcoming manner, ensuring that service users and visitors are comfortable while waiting to be seen and maintaining communication so that they are aware of any unavoidable delays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately input data onto the dedicated OH&WBs IT system and ensure that information entered is updated accurately in line with the protocols set by key system administrators.
  • Respond to telephone calls quickly and process them to the appropriate member of staff or take a message, being responsible for ensuring it is properly passed on to its intended recipient.
  • Be responsible for filing and maintaining staff health records so that documentation is presented in chronological order and that folders are easily available to staff needing to access them.
