Job summary

Qualifications

  • Specialist Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Experience leading or managing an Occupational Health team.
  • Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health case management and clinical governance.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Outstanding communication and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a busy Occupational Health environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Occupational Health Advisers and Administrators.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality Occupational Health service in line with clinical governance standards.
  • Monitor service performance and ensure compliance with SLAs and departmental objectives.
  • Provide clinical guidance, coaching and mentoring to the Occupational Health team.
  • Conduct quality audits and implement continuous service improvements.
  • Deliver training, inductions and ongoing professional development for the team.
  • Support the management of complex clinical cases, safeguarding concerns and escalations.
  • Carry out regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and team development sessions.
  • Produce operational reports and support the wider management team with service delivery.

Are you an experienced Occupational Health professional looking to take the next step in your leadership career?

Our client is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Manager to lead and develop their growing Occupational Health team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established organisation where you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding Occupational Health service while mentoring and supporting a team of Occupational Health Advisers and Administrators.

The Role

As Occupational Health Manager, you will provide both operational leadership and clinical oversight, ensuring the delivery of a high‑quality, client‑focused Occupational Health service across a diverse range of industries.

Working within a fast‑paced environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining exceptional clinical standards, supporting and developing your team, driving service performance and ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards and agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Specialist Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Previous experience managing or leading an Occupational Health team.
  • Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health case management and clinical governance.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Outstanding communication and organisational abilities.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities within a busy Occupational Health environment.
