Qualifications

Job description

Occupational Health Advisor – A role focused on providing professional case management advice and leading health promotion activities within the Medigold Health multi‑disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional occupational health case management advice for clients, expediting early return to work for absent employees.
  • Provide and maintain appropriate advice on health issues and related matters.
  • Undertake health surveillance, vaccinations and phlebotomy as required.
  • Complete all clinical administration in accordance with Medigold‑Health policies and procedures, ensuring activities are completed within agreed timescales and service level agreements.
  • Participate in clinical audit activities as required.
  • Liaise with other service teams regarding both client and patient queries.
  • Undertake clinical supervision/peer audit in relation to case management.
  • Act as ambassador and promote the occupational health services available.
  • Practice within the scope of the NMC professional practice and Code of Conduct, and work according to qualification, experience and competency.
  • Ensure CPD and other training needs are undertaken to ensure compliance with NMC requirements for continuing registration; maintain evidence in support of revalidation.
  • Familiarise with the requirements of all appropriate client contracts and Aide Memoirs.
  • Maintain, store and handle medical records in accordance with Medigold‑Health Data Protection Policy and GDPR requirements, preserving client and employee medical confidentiality.
  • Work autonomously and as part of the Medigold Health multi‑disciplinary team to ensure satisfactory service levels for all clients.
Requirements
  • Nursing qualification.
  • Occupational Health degree or diploma.
  • NMC registration.
  • Demonstrable equivalent experience within Occupational Health departments.
  • Experience of attending, presenting, and hosting client wellness and health promotion days.
  • Trained to undertake all clinical services including health surveillance, fitness‑to‑work medicals, vaccinations and phlebotomy.
  • Experience with case‑management activities involving complex referrals.
