Job summary

Oxford Natural Healthcare Professionals are seeking an experienced Sonographer with obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound expertise to join our private network in the UK.

You will perform high-quality scans, provide compassionate patient care, and clearly communicate findings; HCPC registration, SoR membership and PI insurance are essential. Permanent position with competitive rates and CPD opportunities. Facilities across Leicester and Slough support private clinic work.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• SoR membership is required.
• Proven obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound experience.
• Experience scanning from 6 to 40 weeks gestation.
• Competence in ALARA principles and safe ultrasound practice.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Strong clinical documentation and commitment to CPD.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound examinations.
• Produce clear, clinically relevant images using standard techniques.
• Provide reassurance and information to patients and families.
• Determine gender from 16 weeks gestation when appropriate.
• Escalate fetal concerns following clinical protocols.
• Refer to NHS or specialist services as needed.
• Explain image quality limitations and advise on repeat scans.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical and administrative records.
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely per standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection.
• Contribute to a welcoming and professional environment.
• Support training and share best practices.
