Job description
Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Radcliffe Meteorological Station Observer to assist with daily meteorological readings at the Radcliffe Meteorological Station which is spread across two sites in Oxford. Daily readings at exactly 9am GMT are required 365 days a year. The observer role also includes instrument assessment and maintenance, weather station maintenance, management of the data base, writing of monthly report and media interface.

Qualifications
  • Degree in environmental science, meteorology, geography, engineering and working towards a doctorate in meteorology or climate science
  • Experience in working with met station instruments and maintaining met station data bases. Television and radio media experience.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
