Job summary

Hey Baby 4D in Newark is recruiting an experienced Obs/Gynae Sonographer to join a brand-new private ultrasound clinic. You will perform prenatal and gynecological scans, deliver a patient-centred service, and contribute to launching a premium clinic experience from day one.

The role offers a flexible pattern (full-time or part-time) across weekdays, evenings and Saturdays, with training provided and a strong focus on patient dignity, confidentiality and high-quality imaging.

Qualifications

• HCPC, NMC, GMC or BMUS registration required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of prenatal scans, including early pregnancy dating and 4D scans.
• Produce high-quality ultrasound images and videos.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and make appropriate referrals.
• Carry out phlebotomy services for NIPT screening (training provided if needed).
• Work with management to ensure a premium client experience.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, cleanliness, infection control and hygiene.

Obs / Gynae Sonographer – Newark

Hey Baby 4D is a leading private 4D ultrasound clinic franchise, and we are delighted to be opening a new clinic in Newark. We are currently seeking an experienced and registered Obs / Gynae Sonographer to join our team, working on either a full-time or part-time basis from winter 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new clinic launch, helping to shape a premium, patient-centred service from day one. The role will involve working a flexible combination of weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound scans, while providing an exceptional, patient-centred experience to our clients.

The Sonographer will promote a patient-focused approach to care, ensuring all clinical and client areas are safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose. You will be required to work with complex and sensitive information, act as a patient advocate, and consistently maintain patient dignity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting a wide range of prenatal scans, including early pregnancy reassurance and dating scans, through to late pregnancy 4D scans
• Producing high-quality ultrasound images and videos
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and making appropriate, high-quality referrals where required
• Carrying out phlebotomy services for NIPT screening (training can be provided if not already phlebotomy trained)
• Working closely with the management team to ensure a premium client experience
• Ensuring a consistently high standard of patient care at all times
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, infection control, and hygiene throughout the clinic

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified and experienced Sonographer with a strong understanding of ultrasound best practice. You must be registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council), GMC (General Medical Council), or BMUS (British Medical Ultrasound Society).
