ALS is recruiting a Sample Receiving Analyst for our Hawarden laboratory. You will be responsible for receiving, registering, and routing customer samples, ensuring accurate labeling, system entry, and documentation, while coordinating courier logistics and third-party laboratories.

The role requires a chemistry-related qualification, familiarity with oil analysis, and experience in laboratory operations or similar roles.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Technician studies or related discipline preferred.
• Basic knowledge of oil analysis, mineral oils or industrial products advantageous.
• Previous experience in laboratory operations, customer service, administration or similar role desirable.
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications and able to learn internal systems.
• Strong communicator with customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset and team orientation.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented with ability to multitask and travel to Hawarden laboratory.

The Position

• Location: Hawarden, Flintshire (on-site)
• Department: Oil & Lubricant Laboratory
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Day to Day

• Receive, record and register customer samples in line with laboratory standards and procedures.

The Essentials

• A qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Technician studies or a related discipline is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of oil analysis, mineral oils or industrial products would be advantageous.
