A caring agency is seeking a professional SEN Nanny/Manny for a part-time role in London to support a 7-year-old boy with Autism Spectrum Condition. This role involves providing nurturing, engaging support and developing the child's life skills in a warm family environment. Ideal candidates will have sole charge experience with non-verbal children and be creative and patient, bringing positivity to the child's daily activities.
SEN Nanny/Manny in Finchley NW11. A great part-time opportunity for a professional SEN Nanny/Manny to support an engaging and happy boy of 7 who has a rare genetic condition and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). £27.00 gross per hour
Harry (7) is a bright, active boy who loves to be engaged and helpful. He enjoys soft play, playgrounds, swimming and spending time outdoors, as well as activities at home such as letter puzzles, mark making and helping with snack or meal prep. Nathen (10), his older brother, is independent, protective, and enjoys art, baking, and listening to audiobooks. Harry has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a rare genetic neuro-developmental disorder. He is non-verbal but communicates effectively using visual timetables and his communication book. He can be very expressive depending on his mood and his receptive language is strong. Harry requires support with daily living tasks (dressing, toileting, snack prep) and social interactions, including waiting and turn‑taking.
This is a lovely part-time Saturday role supporting a warm family who will value an extra pair of hands. You’ll provide occasional respite, giving parents the chance to spend one‑to‑one time with their eldest son while you engage with Harry. There’s plenty of opportunity to be imaginative and focus on developing Harry’s life skills, which have come on brilliantly over the past year — for example, helping him choose and prepare his own snacks. The family would love someone who is creative and can bring fresh ideas and positive energy into the home. Harry enjoys being active, so you’ll be confident to take him out in his buggy or help his parents with outings such as swimming or soft play. This role is child‑focused, with minimal household input beyond food for Harry and tidying up after activities.
This is a wonderful part‑time SEN Nanny / Manny role for someone confident supporting children with additional needs in a sole‑charge capacity, including those who are non‑verbal. The ideal person will be nurturing, patient, and engaging — someone who brings fun and positivity to the day, while also offering calm reassurance and clear boundaries when needed.
You’ll be joining a warm, down‑to‑earth, and loving family who will truly value your input and welcome you with open arms. You will play a key role in Harry’s on‑going development and have a positive impact on family life.
