Nutritionist - Defence

Contract: Commercial

Location: Home based (commutable to Canary Wharf - E14)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (6 month rolling contract)

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Nutritionist to lead the development and delivery of our Health & Well-being proposition within the Defence segment. This pivotal role focuses on creating a market-leading, evidence-based approach to food and nutrition that aligns with Defence specifications and supports overall wellness outcomes. You will play a key part in shaping the strategic direction of our food and beverage proposition, ensuring it meets the highest standards of nutritional quality, innovation, and operational excellence.

Job Description

Working collaboratively with culinary, marketing, and segment teams, you will act as the subject matter expert driving the nutritional vision behind our offering. From strategy development to bid support and performance evaluation, your insights will ensure our wellness proposition is both compelling and commercially strong. This role is ideal for a self-motivated nutrition professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, combining science, creativity, and teamwork to deliver measurable health and well-being impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of the Health & Well-being proposition tailored to Defence segment specifications.
  • Ensure nutritional strategies align with bid requirements and position ISS as a market leader in food & beverage wellness.
  • Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and segment teams to develop integrated, evidence-based solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance on nutrition standards, ingredient choices, portioning, and menu development.
  • Translate wellness strategies into engaging marketing content and customer-facing materials.
  • Support bid documentation by articulating health and well-being approaches, rationale, and case studies.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate programme success and inform continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with nutrition, consumer, and market trends to maintain a leading-edge proposition.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Degree qualification in Nutrition or related field.
  • Registered Nutritionist or Dietitian (ANutr, RNutr, or RD).
  • Strong passion for food, wellness, and innovation.
  • Experience collaborating with culinary and marketing teams.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong analytical ability.
