Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery in Holmer Green. You will provide high-quality care, support children's learning, and contribute to their wellbeing through nurturing activities.

The role requires a warm, patient, and proactive approach, a good understanding of EYFS, and a current DBS or willingness to obtain one. A full-time position with opportunities for development and a Refer a Friend scheme is offered.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A warm, nurturing approach with children.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to children, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities to support development.
• Support development across communication, physical, personal, social, emotional, literacy and numeracy areas.
• Encourage confidence, independence, social skills and positive relationships.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where children feel valued and secure.
• Observe and assess development and contribute to learning journeys.
• Support activities in line with EYFS framework.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and interests.
• Promote positive behaviour with calm, consistent approaches.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
